How to Improve Your Eyesight?

I am sure we are seeing six out of ten people wearing glasses in this modern age. Sometimes we think it might be just for a style but the fact is there are lot of eye sight issues we are facing in this generation of video games and visual technologies.

There are so many myths and misconceptions about how to improve our eyesight or prevent eye problems.
Many of the eye sight problems are avoidable if we care for our eyes before we get them, because some vision problems are curable, some can only be treated than cured and other eye conditions are completely untreatable.

Below are some best ways to try to improve our eye sight.

Eat Well to See Well:

We all know the fact that ‘We are what we eat’. All our health issues can be prevented by having a healthy eating habit.

We have been growing up hearing the phrase “Eat carrots to improve eye sight”. I am sure most of our mom’s ran behind us with vegetable plates in our childhood.

This tale about carrots helping us to see in the dark is not completely false. Carrots contain a fair amount of Vitamin A, which can help to treat night blindness. And if you don’t like carrots, you can get almost as much Vitamin A from broccoli leaves, or sweet potatoes. But it’ll only work if you already have a vision problem caused by Vitamin A deficiency; for healthy eyes, extra carrots will make no difference.

Healthy foods for our eyes include green leafy vegetables and fish.  A diet with plenty of these food is can help us preventing vision problems and the age related vision problems as well.

Exercise to Treat Focus Issues:

Eye can improve our eyesight, but only if you suffer from an eye condition like double vision, uncoordinated eye movements, crossed eyes or an inability to cross your eyes, all of which hamper your ability to focus your vision.

Avoid Eye Strain:

Too much strain to your eyes cab lead to problems with eyesight in the short term and in the log term.
No matter what you’re doing, stop every 20 minutes or so to look at something else. If you’ve been doing up-close work, focus on a distant object for half a minute; if you’ve been staring out into the distance, look at something close by. The change in distance helps to prevent straining the muscles that adjust the focus of your eyes.

Another source of eye strain is light itself. Ultraviolet light damages your eyes, so wear UV-protective sunglasses to help prevent deterioration of your vision.

Our eyes evolved to handle light from the sun or a flame, so the electric light from streetlamps, computer screens and LED's may cause more eye strain than natural light. Even that isn’t a sure thing, though; the benefits of electrically-lit experiences can outweigh the downsides.

Play High-Adrenaline Video games:

You might think certain activities, like watching TV or playing video games, are pretty much guaranteed to make your eyesight worse. That’s not necessarily true.
Some video games may help to improve your eyesight.

5 Tips for Healthy Gums and a Great Smile

How wonderful it will be to start our day by seeing a beautiful smile? Don’t you feel it will be great?
A beautiful smile can be damaged if we do not have a good oral health.

Healthy gums are critical for good oral health and a great smile. Taking a little time each day to brush, floss and take care of your gums will go a long way in preventing dental problems down the road. It keeps our smile fresh which can be transformed to many.

Our best bet is prevention when it comes to healthy gums. If we are proactive, then we are less likely to experience the pain.

It’s never too late to start taking better care of your gums.

Brush Regularly For Healthy Gums:

First and foremost we have to brush our teeth regularly. It is recommended to brush at least twice a day to keep our teeth and gums healthy. But, we may not know that the way we brush also have an impact on our gums.
  • Don’t brush too hard. Gentle pressure is all you need.
  • Use a toothbrush that is soft or extra-soft. The softness in the bristles is gentler on the gums and won’t cut or rub them, making them bleed.
  • Brush at a 45-degree angle. This helps you get the bristles up against the gums, but you’re not abrasively rubbing them.
  • Every time you brush, aim for two minutes to help cut down on harmful bacteria in the mouth.

Don’t Forget to Floss:

Floss goes a long way in helping to keep gums healthy. It removes plaque that would otherwise stay between the teeth and turn into tartar. Plaque and tartar buildup attract bacteria that will eventually lead to gum swelling and inflammation.

When you begin to floss, it will take it awhile to become a habit. However, if you keep at it, you’ll learn to look forward to how clean your mouth feels afterward.

Aim to floss at least once per day and help yourself out: get a brand of floss you’ll want to use. Some companies make different “flavors” of floss such as mint or cinnamon. For people with tight teeth, in which there’s not much space between each tooth, using floss “tape” or “ribbon” can be a lot more comfortable than other types. Waxed floss glides between the teeth more easily, as well.

Have you ever noticed that even if you brush thoroughly, your breath isn’t that great? If you don’t floss regularly, those little food particles left between the teeth can create a foul odor and contribute to chronic bad breath.

Another benefit of flossing is that it’s heart-healthy: believe it or not, studies show that people who floss regularly have lower incidences of heart disease.

Use Mouthwash:

Using a good mouthwash will not only keep your breath fresh, it can help keep harmful bacteria at bay. Use a mouthwash that kills bacteria. A number of brands on the market do just that.

Chew Sugarless Gum:

Chewing sugarless gum for about 20 minutes after eating can help freshen our breath and clean the mouth. Keep in mind; this is more if you’re in a pinch. Regular gum-chewing, especially if you do that for extended amounts of time, can lead to jaw problems down the road. Avoid gum with sugar in it, too. The added sugar will only serve to create more plaque and bacteria.

Don’t Forget the Dentist:

Don’t forget that you need to see your dentist regularly; every six months. By doing so, your dentist can detect any problems early on and help to keep your teeth in optimal condition. Dentist will be able to clean any plaque and tartar build-up that can lead to diseased gums and will give you other pointers for your oral care.

See, it’s very easy!
A few minutes a day is a great investment for a lifetime of healthy gums and teeth.
Have beautiful Smile!!!

How to Build Positive Thinking to Improve a Bad Day?

I've had some bad mornings in my life – mornings where I was late for routine life style, continues anger towards anything or anyone whom I see on my way, ended being cornered to myself. I was in complete dilemma without knowing how to move further. Then one day I analyzed my life and found out the great truth, that anyone can face problems in life, there might be people out there who are facing issues more than I face a day but still be successful. Despite of all the problems, I should manage to wake up again the next day, ready to face and change the world with the power of positive thinking.

Happy people used to annoy me or surprise me sometimes. I just wondered looking at them why I am alone is not happy?  But then I realized I don’t have to be angry; just because I have problems doesn't mean I have to focus completely on them. Instead, I can resolve them within and work toward a positive outcome. That’s when I discovered the power of positive thinking, and I happen to read book about positive thinking which created miraculous changes in people life.

“All we are the result of all we have thought” – Buddha

This created significant changes in my life; I realized I have the complete control of my life, creating a positive thinking I can create a world of my own.

Just Do It!

The most important trick to positive thinking is to simply think positive. I know this sounds a bit apparent and inaccessible, but trust me it is easier than it sounds. Our thoughts are completely under our control. We are the one who really hears them, unless we choose to say them or act upon them.

For example, you wake up in the morning and find out that it’s the last day to finish your project I office. Here you can choose to either freak out completely and stress how little time left for you to complete the task, lowering your mood and allowing your day to be controlled by thinking that no time left or you can choose to focus on how to make the best of the position you are in. It’s our choice.

You’re Not Alone:

Life sucks sometimes. It goes through a dumpy road. Bad things happen to all of us — no matter how rich, famous, or successful we are, everyone goes through the same road. So why do some of us smile while others don’t? It’s not a natural disposition; some people just repeat hymns in their head whenever a bad thought enters their head.

I get angry sometimes; so angry that I might end up in breaking my coffee cup; other times I get sad, or even depressed and think of crying out loudly. I've had thoughts of what things would be like if I were dead. Recently I anguished over where the hell my life is going, and why it feels like I can’t do anything right. I've made mistakes and bad decisions that have cost me nearly everything on more than one occasion. This put my life on stake. I stuck up in the middle of a fast moving cowed as if lost. But I endure getting back up, putting a smile on my face, with an assurance to face the world around me and going back out there to try again. You can do this too, but you need to start thinking positively. Here’s how I do it.

Parrot Me…

When I wake up in the morning, one of the first things I do is to be grateful for every moment I have lived and every moment I am yet to. Gratitude is one of the best ways to bring more into our life. Every day I do not get out of my bed unless I have felt the feelings of gratitude for the brand new day and all I am grateful for in my life. Then I start my everyday routine. This sets the tone for the rest of the day.

It is not necessary that the day goes by with the same happiness. Sometimes I need a refresher for a variety of reasons. There will be lot of things around us which might be annoying. During these times, I close my eyes for ten seconds and breathe, repeating, “This, too, shall pass,” in my head over and over until I calm down. This is great exercise to control my thoughts. Whenever I have downtime, I take a moment to think about all of the wonderful people, places, and things in my life. I remind myself that I’m alive, I’m okay, and I’m fully capable of overcoming any obstacles. I have every moment of life from now to live with happiness.

Preservation:

It was difficult at first, but sooner or later it took less and less time to get back into the game. The negative times have become less and less frequent, or it took lesser time to come out of a bad mood even though it occurred. I still face lot of problems but they don’t devastate me anymore. When something doesn't go my way, I simply go a different route. Things might not have become easier but I find it easy to move on, I started accomplishing much more. I am feeling happier every day.

The more you think positive, the easier it gets to think positive. Whatever happens in our life is the result of our thoughts. More you think positive the more positive our life becomes. Like everything else in life, it takes practice. Slowly we will be able to take our life in a positive way. There will be up and downs in life, when you are feeling down stop for a minute and think about everything you are grateful for. Instead of thinking about your problems, think about your accomplishments. The difference between a good day and a bad day is nothing more than the perspective in which it’s viewed.

Think positive, and you’ll make a positive impact on this world.
