10 Miracle Spices for Healthier Us!

India is the land of spices.


When we go on a quest to understand varies spices we can incorporate into our diet; it might turn out to be the spiciest adventure yet.
Spice up our life with these herbs, roots and plants that benefits our health as much as they do out taste buds.
We don’t need to be master in spices or culinary goddesses to understand these spices or how these should be used. These are readily available and consumed by most of us, without actually knowing about the health benefits associated with these magic ingredients.
Turmeric:
One of nature’s most powerful healers, turmeric is an essential spice that is added to most of the dishes in India. It adds a nice flavor and a rich yellowish hue to food. Its health benefits have made it a firm favorite and can be used to speed up wound healing or to treat a damaged skin. It detoxifies our liver and improves our overall health.
This brightly colored spice comes from the same family of spices as Ginger.
Basil:
This round, often pointed leaves of the basil plant looks a lot like peppermint to which it is related. Its highly fragment leaves are used as seasoning herb for a variety of foods. Basil is often used to treat cholesterol. Some research’s shows many other benefits of the herb, such as upper respiratory infections, asthma, and more. Researchers believe hat this is because the compounds decrease pain and swelling. It purifies blood and helps prevent several common elements.
Chili Peppers:
Add some heat to our dish with chili peppers- and choose versions that are especially spicy to get the maximum amount of capsacin. Capsacin, the ingredient that provides the plants with their spice, also has the medical benefits that include pain relief, heart health, fighting prostate cancer, and stopping ulcers. If we are ready to take the hottest peppers out there, try habanero or scotch bonnet; for less of a jolt, try jalapenos, Spanish pimentos, or cherry peppers.
Cinnamon:
Once upon a time cinnamon was more valuable than gold.
Add it to our drinks, curries or desserts – Cinnamons goodness can be experienced in many ways. Apart from being beneficial to people with cholesterol and diabetes problems, this spice is also known for improving our memory.
Parsley:
It’s easy to ignore that little piece of parsley that always arrives next to our main dish, especially when it seems little more than decoration. But this early spring green has been connected to health and today its supports believe the herb helps pass kidney stones, battle deafness, and prevent buildup in the arteries.

Oregano:
When we enjoy a delicious spice of pizza the next time, think of how we are benefitting from the anti-bacterial properties of oregano and not about all the extra calories we are adding. Use it either fresh or fried as the flavor it brings is always rich. This wonderfully aromatic herb is also good source of vitamin K. Like thyme it’s easy to grow at home and add traditional flavor to any dish.
Mint:
Mint is one of the oldest and most popular herbs that are grown around the world. There are many different varieties of mint, each having its own subtle flavor and aroma. This herb is used in a range of dishes from stuffing to fruit salads. Mint is helpful in treating a number of digestive ailments, but most notably irritable bowel syndrome.

Garlic:
Love garlic or hate it, we can’t deny that it’s good for us. Yeah, I know it gives a bad smell and can give us bad breath, but garlic is the cure- all spice that one simply cannot do without. It has antifungal properties that treat infections and it also cleans our blood. Do not take too much of it though, as it can irritate our digestive system.
Thyme:

The strong flavor of thyme pairs well with comfort food- thinks wintry soups, stews, and roasts- and it is easy to grow at home with full sun and well-drained soil. So we can use it fresh or dried all year- round.
But the health benefits go beyond warm soup; the herbs oil is antiseptic and antibacterial and recent studies shows that thyme can kill MRSA infections, which are resistant to other antibiotics.

Coriander:
Our final miracle spice is Coriander. By adding this spice to our dish right before serving, we can add flavor and aroma. It can treat swellings, anemia and also improve digestion. The list of benefits is not an easy thing to do.
Everyday cooking can become an exotic thing with a dash of these wonderful spices. It adds flavor to our cooking.
