Eating healthy food!!! Nutrition

 “If you don’t take care of your body, why are you going to live”?
Food is an important part of a balanced diet.
Food is important for humans because it contains all the nutrition and vitamin that we need in order for us to function correctly.  
The food pyramid is not only a model of nutrition, but it is also a defense guideline against illness and disease. Having a well-balanced diet and getting plenty of sleep can help more than just weight management.
All body functions metabolic, hormonal, mental, physical or chemical cannot be performed by the body without nutritive food. Food provides us with important nutrition which is important in cure of disease.
Importance of Food:
For Survival
Without food there is no survival. When we consume some mode of food and nutrition, the body functions in particular manner which it is supposed to. Without a catalyst, there is no product that is formed and for all living beings food is the catalyst. When we consume food, nutrition is provided to the body for the production of energy and in turn, the body is functional.
To the Human body:
The cycle of life consists of Birth, growth, Development and then the death. For a living being from birth to death there is a constant necessity of nutrition and catalyst which is provided by the food which is consumed.
To Culture:
Apart from only keeping the body fit and healthy, food has other commercial importance too. There are many cultures all over the world that are well known for their peculiar tastes and methods of cooking. Chinese, Italian, Thai, Indian, European, Mexican, etc. When food is associated with culture, it symbolizes the evolution of culture through food as well. People from these cultures cherish their food and spices which gives them unique identity of their own.
A body uses food to perform one or more functions,
Energy:
Food supplies the fuel or energy needed to perform the many tasks of everyday living. We need energy to breathe, walk, sit, speak, think and even sleep. We get energy from carbohydrates, proteins and fats. It is important that we eat enough food to supply all our needs.
Growth and Repair:
Food provides the material needed to build, repair and maintain body tissues. Proteins, fats and minerals are the best nutrition’s for growth. Growing bodies need extra amounts of these nutrients. Every person, weather growing or not, is going through a continual repair process of replacing injured or dead cells. It is food that supplies the nutrients necessary for this process.
Regulation:
Food supplies the substances that help regulate the body processes. Water, Vitamins and minerals help regulate breathing, the nervous system, digestion, blood circulation and the elimination of waste products from the body. They help all the system in the body work properly.
Protection:
Vitamins, Minerals and protein keep the body tissues and organs healthy. Healthy organs are less likely to be attacked by disease.
The right food can really affect how your body functions and acts. Eating the right food can make your body strong; it can fight illness, produce a healthy skin, and keeps the body functioning normally.
Having the right amount of food can make you strong mentally and physically.

Respect food and don’t waste it, there are many who are less fortunate. So, think about them before throwing the food in the bin.
