5 Natural Ways to Get Rid of Blackheads

Blackheads ….. Oh No!!!!

Blackheads are just pimples that don’t have skin on them. That’s all they are. Because there is no skin, and they are exposed to the air, the top layer of gunk in our pores oxidizes and turns that darkish black color.
All we have to do is clean out our pores, and the blackheads are gone. There is no need to squish and squeeze.
There are many ways that we can do to prevent blackheads from appearing on our face.
Make Exfoliation a part of our Weekly ritual:

Exfoliation is an important step to eliminate dead skin cells. This helps get rid of the built-up dead cells from inside the pores that cause them to be clogged.
There are so many things we can use to exfoliate and remove blackheads with. All of them are in our cabinets right now.
Milk & Nutmeg is one of the best. Especially for oily skin and getting rid of black heads. Nutmeg helps getting rid of oil, offers the scrubby power, and leaves behind really smooth skin. The lactic acid in milk helps break down old skin cells as they disappear when we rinse our face.
We could also use baking soda and water, lemon juice and sugar, or salt and sour cream.
How we do it: Simply combine our scrubby ingredient with our liquid ingredient until we have a thin paste. Starting with a clean face, rinse it once with water, and then begin to apply our exfoliator in light, circular motions.
Concentrate on black heads, but remember to use a very light touch. Too rough and we could damage our skin.
Do this for 3-5 minutes. Rinse well. Enjoy our clean face.
Do a Honey Pat Down:
This is only slightly different than the honey face wash. In that we don’t want to wet our face before we start – in any way, shape or form.
Honey should be very-very sticky if we want this to be as effective as possible.
How we do it: Simply pour a small amount of honey on our fingers and start rapidly patting the areas on our face where we want to remove blackheads. The honey will stick to the stuff in our pours, and pull it out we remove our fingers. It will also offer gentle antibacterial and antioxidant support, so any small remnants that may be left in our pores won’t oxidize quite as quickly.
Continue doing this for 3-4 minutes, and then just rinse our face with water.
Use Egg whites to pull out the Gunk:
It might be a least favorite for getting rid of black heads because of its smell. Many people have tried it and got good results. We never ever know until we try.
How we do it: Staring with a clean face, spread egg whites all over using fingers or a paint brush. Start first with a thin layer and let it dry briefly. Then spread a second layer over the top and let the whole thing dry completely.
We may want to focus on the blackhead areas a third time, even.
Allow this pack to dry for 15minutes. Our face will feel tight and pull a bit. This is good. Then with a warm, wet washcloth, scrub the egg whites off our face gently.
If nothing else, our face will be super smooth and soft.
Use a Cosmetic clay mask to soak up the oils:
We do not have to have a special costly jar of facial mask clay for this. We do not have to put essential oil into our mask.
All we need is cosmetic clay and water.
How we do it: Again, we can add goodies like rosewater or a drop or two essential oils to our clay, but this is not necessary for removing blackheads.
Combine 1tbsp clay with 1tbsp apple cider vinegar or pure water and stir until we have a paste without lumps in it. Spread over our whole clean face, or just the areas where we have blackheads. Allow this to dry for 15-20 minutes.
Take a warm, wet wash cloth and press it to the mask for a few seconds, and then slowly and gently wipe off.
If All else Fails, take a clean toothbrush to the area:
Do not use this method unless all else fails.
This is absolutely the most extreme measure we should go to in clearing our blackheads.
Use a dedicated toothbrush only for blackhead cleaning. Do NOT use our mouth toothbrush ever. In between scrubbing blackheads, dunk our toothbrush in a glass of hydrogen peroxide to keep it clean.
How we do it: Using a soft bristled brush, pour a small amount of lemon juice on the toothbrush, along with a drop or two of oily-skin friendly oil like jojoba, tamanu, or neem.
Very gently scrub our blackhead areas with the head of our toothbrush. We can rinse with water and reapply with lemon and oil if you feel like we need to. Just do this gently. In circular motions. And don’t go crazy.
Also, don’t do this more than once a week. Don’t do it around our eyes. And do NOT do this on any open sores, scratches, or cuts. Ever.
If we avoid anywhere delicate, it should be just fine.
Ways to prevent black heads:
Don’t wash our face with harsh cleansers. This makes our skin overreact and produce more oil, which means our blackheads will be back much faster.
Do wash our face twice a day with natural sources.
Wear makeup as little as possible.
Wash our pillow case on a weekly basis.
Use an astringent like witch hazel or apple cider vinegar after we wash our face and before we moisturize.
Once every two weeks, use a facial steam to help open our pores and let them unclog.
Consider using the oil cleansing method to wash our face.
Make a homemade peel-off mask with gelatin and tomato juice.
Blot our face with tissue paper throughout the day to soak up oil before it can accumulate.
